CBD For Pets? Studies Say “Yes”

Is CBD Good For My Pets

The research is impressive concerning the benefits CBD has on pets. Many pets suffer from separation anxiety or fear of noise. CBD was studied in depth clinically for its effects on treating a variety of ailments. One of the common diseases is anxiety, an illness that many pets suffer.

According to recent research “Neural basis of anxiolytic effects of cannabidiol (CBD) in generalized social anxiety disorder: a preliminary report” and “Cannabidiol Reduces the Anxiety Induced by Simulated Public Speaking in Treatment-Naïve Social Phobia Patients” Cannabidiol (CBD) has proven to reduce anxiety in both healthy people and those with anxiety disorders.

So if your dog or cat gets anxious when there is a storm, or you need to be away, research suggests giving CBD a try. CBD is also known to fight cancer according to studies entitled “Cannabidiol rather than Cannabis sativa extracts inhibit cell growth and induce apoptosis in cervical cancer cells” and “Cannabidiol-Induced Apoptosis in Human Leukemia Cells: A Novel Role of Cannabidiol in the Regulation of p22phox and Nox4 Expression”.

These studies showed that CBD could stop cancer cells from growing and increased tumor cell death. CBD also relieves pain. A research study, “Cannabidiol as an emergent therapeutic strategy for lessening the impact of inflammation on oxidative stress”, also shows that CBD relieves pain by decreasing the impact of inflammation on oxidative stress (which causes degeneration and premature aging).

CBD is also said to help epilepsy and seizures, bowel disease, protect the nervous system, increases appetite, promote heart health,  and is safe and effective! So if you have a pet suffering from any of the ailments above, research would tell you to try CBD.
